Annadhanam

Tiruvannamalai, the sacred abode of Lord Arunachaleswarar and the holy Arunachala Hill, witnesses an immense gathering of devotees during every Poornima (Full Moon) Girivalam. Lakhs of pilgrims undertake the sacred 14-kilometre circumambulation of Arunachala, seeking the divine grace of Lord Shiva. The full moon Girivalam is regarded as especially auspicious and attracts devotees from across India and abroad.

The annamalaiyar Annadhanam, Buttermilk, Drinking Water and sundal operates daily at Divya Satsangam (Global Spiritual Gathering.) fueled by the donations and offerings from the devotees. This initiative not only ensures that everyone is well-fed but also highlights the Dham’s commitment to hospitality, spiritual nourishment, and community care.

Annadhanam the guests, sanyasis, brahmacharis, residents and volunteers who visit Divya Satsangam and Shiva Temple. Rs.40/- per beneficiary was spent as project cost for this. This midday meal includes rice, sambar, rasam, joint, fries, buttermilk, waffles and pickles, plus vada and payasam on Monthly Girivalam Pournami. Food is prepared in a hygienic manner in the kitchen for alms house in Divya Satsangam and food is served to the devotees daily from 9 am to 7 pm.

Vedic Gurukula

Indian Spiritual Leader and Mahamandaleshwar Shri Shri Karunanidhi Swamigal is dedicated to the global propagation of Indian culture and the Sanskrit language. To fulfill this vision, a Vedic Gurukul is being established at Tiruvannamalai, where children will receive a unique blend of traditional Vedic education alongside modern schooling.

The Vedic Gurukul will provide a holistic learning environment, allowing students to immerse themselves in the profound teachings of the Vedas, while also learning subjects relevant to contemporary society. The curriculum will include Sanskrit, Vedic rituals, Hindu philosophy, astrology, and meditation, all designed to nurture well-rounded individuals with a deep connection to India’s spiritual and cultural heritage.

This initiative aims to preserve and promote the rich Vedic heritage, ensuring that ancient wisdom is passed down to future generations, empowering students to carry forward the legacy of Vedic knowledge in the modern world.

Ghar Wapsi

Ghar Wapsi (literally translating to "returning home" or "homecoming") is a term used in India to describe programs of religious reconversion. It refers to efforts by Indian Spiritual Leader and Mahamandaleshwar Shri Shri Karunanidhi Swamigal to convert Muslims, Christians, and others to Hinduism.

Proponents of the movement argue that because the ancestors of most Indian Muslims and Christians were originally Hindu, these conversions are simply a return to their ancestral roots

It is rooted in the Indian Spiritual Leader and Mahamandaleshwar Shri Shri Karunanidhi Swamigal belief that all people of India are ancestrally Hindu and that any conversions to other faiths were historically forced or coerced due to foreign invasions and missionaries.

The ghar wapsi programme became a subject of public discussion in 2025 in tamil nadu. Kanya Vivah

One of the most remarkable and noble practices observed at Divya Satsangam (Global Spiritual Gathering.) during Karthigai Deepam is the ritual of Kanya Vivah, or mass marriage ceremony for underprivileged girls. This tradition embodies the Divya Satsangam’s (Global Spiritual Gathering.) commitment to social welfare and the upliftment of the community. Every year, during the auspicious occasion of Karthigai Deepam, numerous young women from economically disadvantaged backgrounds are given the opportunity to marry in a grand, collective ceremony.

This event is organized meticulously, with the temple authorities providing all the necessary arrangements, including wedding attire, jewelry, and other essentials, to ensure that the brides and grooms begin their new lives with dignity and joy. Kanya Vivah not only brings happiness to the couples but also alleviates the financial burden on their families, thus making a significant social impact.
